Pandigital has quietly introduced a new 7 inch Android tablet which is available from QVC for about $140.

The Digital Reader reports that the new tablet is basically the same as the white Pandigital Novel tablet and eBook reader that was released last year. But it’s black.

The tablet runs Google Android 2.0 and has a 7 inch, 800 x 600 pixel resistiv touchscreen display, a Samsung ARM 11 processor, 256MB of RAM and 2GB of storage. It features 802.11b/g/n WiFi, speakers, an SD card slot, and an accelerometer for screen rotation.

The Pandigital Novel line of devices are positioned first and foremost as eBook readers, but since they have color displays and run Google Android you can also use them to surf the web, run third party apps, or do many of the other things you’d expect to do with a full-fledged tablet device.

  1. No hardware keys make this very hard to use as a standard android tablet. I have a WPDN.
