Yesterday we learned that the $499 Webtop docking station that lets you use a Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone isn’t the only way to use the phone as the brains of a PC. You can also hack the software so that you can plug any external display into the HDMI port and trigger the Webtop software.
But if you’re curious to know what makes the Webtop docking station tick. Fortunately you don’t need to buy one and dissect it yourself, because a member of the Vietnamese Tinh te forum has done the heavy lifting for you.
You can watch the results in the video after the break. It’s in Vietnamese, but the language of dissecting electronics to see what’s on the inside knows no boundaries.

Of course for $499 (and less) you can just buy a real, fully functional laptop. Motorola needs to rethink their pricing strategy.
