It’s been a little while since I’ve given away a USB flash drive, and I’ve still got loads of the little guys sitting on my shelf. So it’s time for another contest.

Here’s the deal. The winner of this contest will pick up a slightly used 2GB USB flash drive from Parallels. The software company gave me the drive with a press kit on it at a recent event. It’s been reformated since then, so the prize is actually a blank drive.

In order to enter, just “like” Liliputing on Facebook. I’ll randomly select a winner from our Facebook fans on Monday, March 28th.

This contest is open to readers anywhere in the globe, with the exception of Liliputing writers, close personal friends or family, and anyone who has won a Liliputing contest in the past 12 months.

Oh, and while we’re promoting Liliputing’s new social themes, you can also follow us on Twitter. There’s no prize for doing that this week, but it’s a great way to keep up with the latest mobile tech news.

  1. I love it when people complain about the methods they have to use to get a chance to win free stuff.

These are the same people who would complain if they were to be “hung with a new rope.”

Brad (or anyone else for that matter) is under no obligation to you or anyone else to give away anything. He’s doing it to be nice to his subscribers, and in this case, using it as a carrot to get followers for his Facebook page.

By the same token, if you don’t like the methods he uses to give away stuff, you are under no obligation to make a play for them! I skip such contests all the time. What exactly did I lose? Nothing.

All your complaining serves to do is make you look like a crybaby. And a troll.

  2. Darn… Facebook only… and during the week when I finally decided to sign up for Twitter account due to peer pressure…

  3. Once Brad starts giving away gift certificates and other useful items then he would see a much larger fan base, all the contests I’ve seen are 2gb flash drives. It costs more to ship the thing then what its worth. I would like to see viewer contests that contribute to the theme of mobile computing, such as favorite netbook of quarter, favorite tablet of quarter and have all voters in the pool for the prize.

  4. This contest is open to readers anywhere in the globe, with the exception of Liliputing writers, close personal friends or family, and anyone who has won a Liliputing contest in the past 12 months and anyone who doesn’t have a facebook account.

    1. It’s not closed to you. I don’t really expect anyone to create a Facebook
account just to win a 2GB flash drive, but nothing is stopping you from
      doing that.

      1. No worries, Brad. If I was really worried about it then I’d just create a disposable account. This is more about my hatred of facebook than your contest. I like that you throw us a chance to get free stuff every now and then.

        1. Thanks Burk, I appreciate that. As you’ve probably noticed, I’ve given away laptops, tablets, flash drives, and other accessories over the past few years — often just asking readers to leave a comment on the blog. Since I finally got around to creating a Facebook page I wanted to use this little contest to promote it, but don’t worry, I’ll have other giveaways that aren’t exclusive to Facebook or Twitter in the future.
