The Motorola XOOM tablet comes in two versions. You can pick up a 3G capable version today, or wait a few days and grab a WiFi-only version. Verizon Wireless offers the 3G model (with a 4G upgrade coming soon), but wireless carrier Cellular South is taking a different approach. The regional carrier will offer a WiFi version of the tablet soon, along with a MiFi personal hotspot which you can use to get online when you’re away from a WiFi network.
That’s actually the same approach Verizon took with the original iPad, back when Apple wasn’t offering a version that was compatible with Verizon’s 3G network.
There’s no word on how much Cellular South will charge for the tablet, but $599 seems to be the going rate.
The Motorola XOOM features a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, 32GB of storage, and Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. It has front and rear cameras and supports Adobe Flash.
Oh these machine really is really looking cool from the beginning and bot it all set to come with smart features.
