The Motorola XOOM WiFi tablet is expected to go on sale on March 27th, but B&H has been taking pre-orders for a few days. Now a number of retailers are getting in on the action. Here’s a quick run-down of stores taking pre-orders for the 10 inch tablet running Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb:

  • Abe’s of Maine – $599.99 with a ship date of 3/28
  • Amazon – $599 with free shipping (no ship date listed)
  • Costco – $589.99 with an April 1st ship date
  • Staples – $599.98 with expected ship date of March 25th

The tablet features 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor.

  1. Costco is now shipping starting on March 27th. I think I will cancel my “unknown” Amazon order and order from them.

  2. Costco’s price is $589–you have to add it to the cart the view cart to see the price.

Costco also extends the warranty an extra year–pretty good deal when you compare it to how much other places want for an extended warranty.
