Samsung is expected to introduce a 10 inch Android tablet this evening. But pictures of the new tablet are already making the rounds.

The tablet will reportedly have a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, an 8MP camera, and run Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb. It will have two sets of speakers for virtual surround sound.

It’s not entirely clear what processor the tablet will use. I’ve seen reports suggesting it will be a dual core Qualcomm chip or a dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip. And of course, Samsung is set to introduce its own dual core chip soon… so it seems likely that the 10 inch Galaxy Tab will have a dual core chip. It’s just not clear at the moment which dual core chip.

You can find more photos at Samsung Hub.

Update: Samsung has officially introduced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet with Android 3.0 Honeycomb, a 1280 x 800 pixel LCD display and a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor.

  1. Hopefully this will be better priced than the zoom. If not we might as well just cede the tablet market to apple and be done with it…..
