Have you ever found yourself wishing you could run Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, or World of Warcraft on your smartphone? Because that’s exactly what you could do with the new Magic W3 from AdvanceTC.
The Magic W3 is a portable device with a 4.8 inch display, a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor and Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. Oh yeah, it also makes phone calls, giving a whole new meaning to the phrase “Windows Phone.”
Sure, you’re not going to get stellar battery life out of the little guy, and the Z530 processor isn’t the fastest chip for handling Windows tasks. But it’s a phone. A phone that runs Windows 7. Seriously.
Of course, I’m not sure how I feel about the possibility of encountering a BSOD error on my phone. But to be honest, it’s not like Windows Mobile, Android, or other smartphones don’t have crashes from time to time. Heck, I’ve even had an iPod touch lock up on me a few times.
On the other hand, this is a phone you can carry in your pocket and then plug into a keyboard and monitor when you get to your home or office to use as a desktop computer.
The Magic W3 has a native screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and comes with 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 32GB SSD, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, and a GSM Quad Band modem and 3.5g HSPA. It has a 3200mAh 3.7V battery, a 1.3MP camera, an accelerometer and vibration capabilities. The device has mini HDMI port, mini USB port, microSD card slot, SIM card slot, dual mics, and stereo speakers.
There’s no word on the price or release date. Engadget has some hands-on photos, and you can find more information at the AdvanceTC web site.

I love it. The first time, I saw a thing like this, was in 2008 named Willcom https://www.umpcportal.com/products/Sharp/Willcom%20D4/WS016SH
At that time it was too expensive for me and too difficult to get, but now I will give it a try no matter what. Lets see what happens.
nice!!
