Smartphone maker HTC still isn’t talking much about its upcoming tablet… but at least company execs have started talking. Speaking to the BBC, HTC CEO Peter Chou said the company doesn’t want to rush into the market, but that HTC is working on a tablet which he hopes “meets consumers’ needs.”

Yup, that’s all we’ve got to go on right now. There’s no official information about the screen size, processor, or even what operating system the tablet will run, although smart money is on Android.

Fortunately while Chou isn’t spilling many beans, the rumor mill is working to fill in the blanks. Yesterday we heard that HTC could be working on three tablets,  including a model called the HTC Flyer which is due out in March and two more models that will launch this summer with Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
