Hands-on with the LG X170 netbook

01/14/2011 at 10:23 AM by Brad Linder Leave a Comment

I haven’t seen the LG X170 netbook on sale in the US, but I did get a chance to check out the mini-laptop in person at CES last week. This little guy is notable because it comes with an optional 1366 x 768 pixel HD display and an optional 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual core processor, although the base model has a single core Atom N455 chip and a standard 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display.

The X170 on display at Intel’s CES booth had an attractive design with a pink lid, a chiclet-style keyboard, and a touchpad with distinct left and right buttons. There’s a RAM access panel on the base of the computer, but no hard drive or wireless access panel.

The lighting at the Intel booth was pretty lousy, but you can find a few more blue-lit photos after the break.
