The bModo12 tablet features an 11.6 inch display, an Intel Atom N450 processor and a Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator. It has a 32GB SSD, 802.11b/g/n WiFi,. Bluetooth, an accelerometer, and GPS. The tablet has a 27Whr battery and weighs just under 2.2 pounds.

If the tablet looks familiar, that’s because it’s based on the same design as the ExoPC Slate I recently reviewed. Both tablets were likely built by the same OEM. The main difference is in the software: The ExoPC runs the custom ExoPC UI Layer on top of Windows 7, while the bModo12 has a few custom apps that bModo calls Bossa Nova.

All Touch Tablet has posted a detailed review of the bModo12, and the reviewer seems pretty impressed with the hardware, reasonably happy with the software and performance, and underwhelmed by 3 hour battery life and the high price tag. For $799 you can get the tablet with 1GB of RAM. $849 gets you a 2GB version. And an optional docking station will set you back an extra $75.

You can find more info and photos at All Touch Tablet. The bModo12 is available for purchase from Amazon or the bModo store.

  1. I have an ExoPC and it works really well. However, the ExoPC comes standard with 2GB RAM (not 1) and a 64GB SSD. Yes, Windows 7 runs just fine on an N450.

  2. So does this mean that Windows 7 runs well on tablets? That too on a machine that has an underwhelming Atom N450 processor.
