A few days ago Asus released a teaser for a new product called the Eee PC Sirocco. At the time, all we knew as that the tag line for the product was “making waves.” Now we know that Asus wasn’t talking about actually making waves in the industry with a new and innovative product. The waves are basically a textured paint job on the lid of an otherwise standard-looking 10 inch netbook.

It turns out the Sirocco is just an Eee PC 1015PW — a netbook first introduced in October.

The netbook will be available in purple, gold, or pink varieties. On the inside you’ve got a 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 dual core processor, 1GB of DDR3 memory, and a 250GB or 320GB hard drive. The Eee PC 1015PW sports 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0. It has a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display.

I didn’t notice this model at CES earlier this month, but Johannes from NewGadgets.de spotted the Eee PC 1015PW and shot a brief video which you can checkout after the break.
