ASRock is best known for producing motherboards, and maybe a few laptop and nettop computers. But DigiTimes reports ASRock plans to launch an Android tablet later this year.

According to the report, the specs haven’t been finalized, but it looks like the ASRock tablet will feature an NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip and it will run Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb. It’s not clear whether the device will have a 7 or 10 inch display… or whether the world really needs yet another company entering the tablet space.
