Sapphire and ATI go way back — and somewhat more recently in the company’s history, Sapphire began branching out from video cards into mainboards. Now, they’ve become the first manufacturer to deliver a desktop motherboard featuring AMD’s new Fusion APU. The Pure White Fusion E350M1W is a mini-ATX board and it’s feature-packed.
In addition to the AMD E350 Zacate APU — which features Radeon HD 6310 graphics and a dual-core 1.6GHz CPU — the PWF also sports two DDR3 SODIMM slots (supporting max of 4GB memory), 5SATA ports and 1 eSATA port, HDMI, DVI, and VGA output, 8 USB 2.0 ports and 2 USB 3.0 ports, and built-in Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and gigabit LAN. There’s also a PCI Express x16 slot, in case you want to cram a beefy (but low-profile) video card into your mini-AX rig.
No word yet on pricing, but Sapphire has made it known that the board will be available soon worldwide. Given Sapphire’s history of competitively-priced hardware, the Pure White Fusion will no doubt be a pretty good value.
