It’s time for your (nearly) daily dose o news about the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Everybody’s favorite tablet that’s not the iPad (or Notion Ink Adam, or you know, any tablet from a company that’s not Samsung) is now available for purchase in the US thanks to T-Mobile.

You can pick up the Galaxy Tab for $399.99 from T-Mobile when you sing up for a 2 year service contract.  It’ll cost you $599.99 without a contract, but you get the same tablet either way. Both models have 3G modems, which means you can pay full price for the Galaxy Tab sign up for a T-Mobile “Even More Plus” plan which has no annual contract.

T-Mobile offers two data plans. For $24.99 er month you get 200MB of data. $39.99 per month gets you 5GB.

In the next few days Verizon and Sprint are also expected to begin offering the Galaxy Tab.

In other Samsung and Galaxy Tab news, the folks at Netbook News got a chance to check out a number of new display prototypes from Samsung. Some seem to be little more than concepts at this point, including a foldable 5.3 inch display and a 4.3 inch flexible display, as well as a new version of the transparent display AMOLED display that Samsung was showing off earlier this year.

But a few of the displays look like the sort of thing that could be used in tablets like next-gen Galaxy Tab devices as soon as next year. For instance, there’s a 7 inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixel and support for 16.7 million colors and wide viewing angles.

Samsung is also showing off a 10.1 inch “unbreakable” display which could also be used for Android tablets, digital frames, netbooks, or other devices.

  1. “For instance, there’s a 7 inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixel and support for 16.7 million colors and wide viewing angles.”

I though the resolution on that panel was 1200×600?
