The PocketBook IQ is a 7 inch Android tablet designed to work as an eBook reader and a general purpose internet tablet. It was first introduced a few months ago, and now the tablet has found its way to the FCC web site, which is a pretty good indication that the company is thinking about bringing the PocketBook IQ to the States.
The PocketBook IQ has a TFT color display, WiFi and Bluetooth and runs Google Android 2.x. It’s scheduled to get an update to Android 2.2 in December.
While the tablet looks a lot like the PanDigital Novel, PocketBook is pushing the audio and video capabilities of the PocketBook which make it a better choice if you’re looking for a multimedia tablet.
The IQ does NOT have bluetooth and the adroid system is going to 2.1 not 2.2 Don’t want people to get confused.
Do you know the really strange part? It already went through the FCC. Foxconn sent it.
My contact with Pocketbook was a little puzzled about why it went a second time.
