That 160GB hard drive in your netbook not doing it for you? No worries, there are plenty of portable hard drives on the market that you can use to expand your storage, or easily backup or copy files from your desktop to take with you on the road. We’ve seen plenty of 500GB and even 1TB models over the past year or so. Now Seagate has upped the game with the introduction of a 1.5TB model.

The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1.5TB portable hard drive has a suggested retail price of 0f $250, although SeaGate is currently selling the drive for $230. It supports USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and FireWire 800 or eSATA connections.

Seagate also offers the FreeAgent GoFlex in 320GB, 500GB, and 750GB sizes, with prices starting at $89.99.

There are a number of companies offering 1.5TB and larger external hard drives — but most of those models are 3.5 inch disks which require external power. The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex drive is a smaller 2.5 inch disk which draws its power from the USB port on your computer.
