The Archos 32 portable media player is the first of five new Android powered internet tablets that Archos introduced a few weeks ago to actually go on sale. You can order the 3.2 inch device for $149.99 from the Archos web site. But the rest of the new Archos tablets aren’t expected to hit the streets until October.

B&H has posted product pages for the tablets though, and you can sign up to receive a notification email when they’re in stock. You can also get a better sense of the pricing for these 2.8 inch to 10.1 inch tablets. The Archos 101 10 inch model with a capacitive multitouch display and 1GHz CPU will be available in at least two configurations. With 8GB of storage, it will cost $299.99, but the 16GB model will run $349.99. That seems like quite a price bump when you can easily pick up an 8GB SD card of less than $50, but that’s life.

The 7 inch Archos 70 will also be available in at least two configurations, both running $274.99 at B&H. You can either get the tablet with an 8GB solid state disk or a 250GB hard drive for that price.

The 4.3 inch Archos 43 will be available with 8G or 16GB of storage for $199.99 or $249.99 respectively.

B&H is charging $119.99 for the 2.8 inch Archos 28, which is about $20 more than I’d been expecting, but I suspect it may be available for less money from other retailers eventually.

Noticeably absent from the B&H pages? The Archos 32… which is the only version currently available for purchase.

  1. Pricing for Archos 70 has been changed to $270 (8GB) and $349 (250GB)… and Approximate Arrival is now December! bummer..

  2. I’d rather wait for the Samsung Tab. More reliable company than Archos. You’ll have official and legal Google Market. Likely more developer support due to official Android compatibility and Samsung backing. There’s going to be a WiFi only version after the 3G one is released which is good for people who don’t want to pay for a 3G version.

  3. Wait wasn’t someone spreading around that the 16 GB Archos 43 was going to be $199? I wonder what other lies that guy was spreading.

    1. I think B&H and some other sites are confused with their pricing. They’ll probably rectify it before release.
