It’s shaping up to be Archos day at Liliputing. This morning we noted that B&H had set up product pages for the company’s upcoming line of tablets, and then we discovered a device that appears to be an Archos 7 tablet (possibly hacked) with a new processor and Android 2.1. Now the parade of Archos tablet news continues with the discovery of an Archos A101 tablet listing at the FCC web site.

There’s not a lot of information int he FCc listing, but based on the drawing and name, the Archos A10i is probably just another name for the Archos 101 tablet the company introduced earlier this month. Update: Upon closer inspection, it looks like the drawing refers to the tablet as the Archos 101IT, which stands for Archos 10.1 inch Internet Tablet. This is indeed the same model I got a chance to check out earlier this month.

The Archos 101 has  10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel capacitive multitouch display, a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU, a G-Sensor, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and HDMI output.

On the other hand, it’s always possible that the Archos A10i is a different device altogether. Perhaps a new Windows tablet that could serve as an update to the Archos 9 PC Tablet?

  1. It’s the Archos 101 Internet Tablet, not 10i. The last 1 is smaller than the 10 in the logo for the device, that is all.

    1. most likely done so as the numbers comes from the screen size of 10,1 inches.
