It’s no surprise that Acer is working on a netbook that will run Google’s Chrome OS. So far Acer’s been pretty quiet about the details, though. But Macles spotted a few details by following a rather convoluted paper trail.
For the full details, check out Macles, but here’s the good stuff. It looks like someone has been filing some Linux and Google Chrome bug reports related to a previously unannounced Acer laptop. And by looking at the reports, we can see some of the hardware that the computer is equipped with, including:
- 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 CPU
- 1GB of memory
- 8GB SanDisk pSSD (solid state disk)
- Ambient light sensor
- WiFi, Bluetooth wireless connectivity
There’s still no word on the pricing or release date, but Macles suspects we could see a release pretty soon, based on the progress of the reports.
