Samsung is expected to launch a 7 inch Android tablet called the Samsung Galaxy Tab in the next few months. Samsung South Africa actually posted a pretty clear picture of the tablet last month, but the image was later removed and the tablet was shrouded in mystery once again.

Now we have another apparent sighting of the tablet. There aren’t any new details about the tablet, but it appears to have a 7 inch display, and just barely fits in one hand. While we’re starting to see tablets with phone capabilities such as the Dell Streak and Huawei S7, I have a feeling that if Samsung does pack cellular capabilities into this tablet, you might want to invest in a Bluetooth headset instead of holding the thing up to your ear.

There’s still no word on the price, launch date, or whether it’ll actually be called the Galaxy Tab when it hits the streets. Given the latest trend, maybe Samsung will rename it the GalaxyPad? Or maybe the SamPad?

Update: The image has been removed at the request of the person who snapped the photo — which was not meant to be shared with the public.
