Kohjinsha may not be a household name in the US, but the subsidiary of Taiwanese PC maker Inventec has put out some of the more interesting netbooks to hit Asia over the last few years. That includes a dual screen model, a line of kid-friendly netbooks with cartoon character themes, and a convertible touchscreen tablet-style netbook.
But it looks like those innovative Kohjinsha netbooks may be a think of the past… sort of. DigiTimes reports that Inventec will no longer launch netbooks under the Kohjinsha brand name. But the company will continue to release models under the Onkyo brand name. The only down side is that Onkyo products tend to only show up in Japan.
