Something tells me that we’re never going to see a tablet-style computer hit the streets in the US with the name iTablet emblazoned on the top. A certain company that practically owns the letter “i” might have a problem with that. But Charbax at ARMdevices caught up with the folks at a AMtek, who showing off some of those new iTablet-branded devices we heard about last week. And they don’t look too bad. Hopefully the company won’t run into any legal troubles over the name.

You can check out a video below with a closer look at several tablets including Windows, Android, and Windows CE models. But the one Charbax spent the most time with was the AMtek iTablet Ex-Lite AE04.

The tablet has an 800MHz Freescale processor and a 10.1 inch display that comes in 1024 x 600 or 1024 x 768 pixel versions. It has 512MB of RAM, and 512MB of flash storage, a 2MB camera, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and optional 3G and GPS modules.

The display supports multitouch gestures, and the tablet has 3 USB ports. It’s capable of running Google Android 2.1, Linux, or Windows CE and weighs less than 2.2 pounds.

for a closer look at the EX-Lite II and several other tablets including several Windows 7 tablets, check out the video after the break.
