Like just about every other computer maker in the known universe, FIC is showing off a new tablet at Computex 2010. The new FIC system is called the Tycoon TVB00 and it looks like pretty standard fare for a Windows 7 tablet. Basically, this is what you would get if you ripped the screen off a netbook, crammed all the electronics behind the display, and threw out the keyboard.

  • Display: 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixels
  • CPU: 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455
  • OS: Windows 7
  • Memory: 1GB DDR3
  • Storage: 1.8 inch HDD
  • Connectivity: 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1
  • I/O: VGA, 2 USB ports, mic and headphone jacks, 1.3MP or 2.0MP webcam
  • Battery: 2700mAh Polymer battery (up to 3 hours
  • Dimensions: 9.6″ x 6.9″ x 0.6″
  • Weight: 1.9 pounds

There are two things that set the Tycoon TVB00 apart from some other tablets we’ve seen. First, it will come with an optional Broadcom Crystal HD BCM70015 HD video accelerator. And second, FIC says that the tablet is capable of running Windows 7 Ultimate — although it’s not clear if that actually means it will ship with Windows 7 Ultimate. Most budget tablets are expected to ship with either Windows 7 Starter or Home Premium, although they’re perfectly capable of running higher priced versions of the operating system.

Update: Jkkmobile shot a little video of the Tycoon tablet at Computex. You can check it out after the break.
