Whether you like the iPad (or any Apple devices) or not, one thing is undeniable: when a new model gets released, Shanzai clones are never far behind. Often they sport far less impressive hardware, but Zenithink’s offering actually looks pretty decent.

According to a post at Shanzaihaiben.com, the company is working on a new 10-inch model that will run Android and include a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 512MB RAM, 16GB flash storage, 2400MaH battery, and a 1024×600 pixel display. The unit can also supposedly handle full HD video playback. To say the tablet gets ‘styling cues’ from the iPad is an understatement.

No word as to pricing just yet, but the tablet should hit retail shelves sometime this June. There’s also a 7-inch 800×480 version in the works.

  1. Hi I hope u can help me, I’m having a lot of trouble figuring out how to work with this tablet, may be u have a Manual on how to do thinks, because my only came with a quick star book, I’m having problems connecting a portable usb unit, the tablet don’t recognize the device, also
is hard to see my pics, and I don;t know how to delete them, plus I put music on my Micro sd card, and I can make it played, or see any of the songs!, can u help me please, Thank You.

  2. I Love my zenithink tablet. I use it to surf, watch t.v. shows with usb drive, read using Google books, and moved my itunes library for listening. Pandora works great. I also carry family pictures. Only hitch is battery life, 2 hours max.

    1. I also love my Z180, can you tell me how you got itunes on it.I’ve disabled GPs and battery is up to 3.5 hours.

  3. NOTE: It states… “the company is WORKING on a new 10-inch model that will run Android and include a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor”

The current one you can buy does not have the Cortex-A8!

  4. Hi foks, I have a Samsung Galaxy S, and this phone SOLD me on getting an Android pad instead of iPad. I went for the ZT-180 and for the price…I think it’s great. Sure, it’s not as “smooth” and fast as eye-cany-ish as the Galaxy, but again…it’s a very nice device at a very reasonable price.
My question: on the Galaxy I have allshare by samsung…i used this to stream movies to the little phone while wife is watching her own movie. This is why I bought the ZT-180…larger screen…can lie on the patio and watch movies while wive is watchin in living room. Problem is: obviously ZT and market does not have allshare, as it’s a samsung-thing. I’ve looked but can’t seem to find: a video player for ZT that will play the files from the PC harddrive, and show them on the ZT. Anybody?
Tried VLC Stream & Convert…but it only does the audio of the file…the video does not show no matter which format…and in its settings…the video codec options are greyed out.
Thanks folks…and kudos to Zenthink for a very handy, very affordable device.

    1. Hi Dimitry, we apologize for any lack of support you may have received. We have revamed our support system and hired 2 more employees. We are answering all our backlogged support emails. The problem is that we are selling over 500 units of zenithink per week and can barely keep up with the demand.

      1. Oh yea, I forgot to mention that with the new 1014 firmware upgrade which ships with all new Zenithink Tablets — ANDROID MARKET IS NOW WORKING!!! This is an AMAZING breakthrough and takes Zenithink to a whole new level. All new purchases from http://www.Zenithink.us will receive the new 1014 update with working Android Market out of the box

    2. I agree. I am still waiting for my devices (in Canada)- order from 2 weeks ago. I hope they will arrive soon.

  5. Looks interesting….also given that MS and HP are now shying away from tablets somewhat you wonder if for the next few month ist will be iPad or crazy Chinese knock-off as the choices.
