Sure, the LG X140 has been making the rounds for a few months at this point. But LG put out a press release announcing the launch of the netbook today, so you know, it’s all official and stuff. The LG X140 netbook should be available soon in Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Levant, tunisia, Dubai, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Noticeably absent from the list are the US and Europe – even though the netbook has already made the requisite visit to the FCC web site.

The LG X150 has a 10.1 inch, 1366  x 768 pixel display and comes with a choice of either a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 or 1.83GHz Intel Atom N470 processor. It ships with 1 to 2G of memory, a 250GB or 320G hard drive, and Windows 7 Starter Edition.

There’s also a quick boot environment called Smart On 2.0 which lets you access your email, web browser, and a few other apps within 5 seconds.

The LG X140 will be available in white, black, hot pink, and hot pink in Brazil. The laptop has a 1.3MP webcam, SRS TruSurround HD audio, and an integrated 3G modem.
