The Lenovo ThinkPad X100e is a thin and light laptop aimed at business users. It’s a step above a typical netbook thanks to its 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, full sized keyboard, and faster AMD processor. And according to an FCC filing uncovered by Wireless Goodness, the laptop is about to get a 4G WiMAX option.
According to the FCC documents, the new model will have an Intel wireless card that can handle WiFi, Bluetooth, and WiMAX wireless connectivity. It looks like the update could also apply to the ThinkPad Mini 10 which recently showed up in Australia. The ThinkPad Mini 10 is basically the same computer as the X100e, except it has a 10 inch display with a large bezel surrounding the screen. There’s also mention of a ThinkPad Mini 11 — which sounds like it might be the 11.6 inch version with a regional name.
