Last week Lenovo introduced a series of new laptops with 11 to 15 inch displays and new Intel processors. But something that I totally missed was the mention of a new Lenovo IdeaPad U165, which according to Netbook News.de will be powered by an AMD processor.

There’s not a lot of information available at the moment, so we don’t know how much the 11.6 inch Lenovo IdeaPad U160 will cost or which of AMD’s latest low power processors it will use. But Lenovo is grouping the laptop with the IdeaPad U160 on its product page, which means that the U165 and U160 will probably feature the same case design and basic features including HDMI output. The primary difference will be that the U160 will have an Intel chipset while the U165 will be AMD powered.

  1. I am a little worried that the keyboard is not edge-to-edge. Stylistically it looks similar to X100e and S10-3 but in size the keyboard will probably end up closer to S10-3.

    1. Rahul, the U165 is an IdeaPad computer, so it will probably end up being very similar to the S10-3. It is made to be an ultraportable computer. I, however, really like the IdeaPad Keyboard set-up. Just goes to show you, trash/treasure!
