The ViewSonic VNB108 is the latest 10 inch netbook from the company. It has a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, and 250GB hard drive.
Nicole from Netbook News got her hands on a demo unit, and she’s posted an unboxing video, which you can check out after the break. Overall the netbook has a somewhat boxy looking design and a 3 cell battery which sits flush with the case.
The lid has a matte finish, which is nice. The display is also matte.
There are no access panels on the bottom of the netbook and there’s even a note that says upgrading the netbook will void your warranty — but it looks like Nicole was working with a version of the netbook designed for the Taiwan market, based on the keyboard. Hopefully the US version will make it easier to at least upgrade the RAM without breaking the warranty.

I wish I had better news, but the only thing that will change between this model and the ones shipping to the US & EU is the keyboard. Its a throw back to the early days of MSI. Its more heart breaking that Viewsonic’s first run of netbooks were so promising!
