  1. Asus is a Star to INDIA for launching new products. they enter the market and developing certain standards thier own,Now all r looking at ASUS”

  2. I’m typing this on my new 1005PE running Ubuntu 9.10 flawlessly. This is my first netbook and it has completely exceeded my expectations in every possible way. ASUS has turned me into a believer and I can’t wait to get my hands on a 1005PR!

  3. It not only needs an HDMI port, it would be much better with a
switchable option similar to the Nvidia Optimus (spelling ?) chip set
for CULV notebooks. That is, the option of using either the built-in
Intel GMA graphics (for extended battery life) or Nvidia ION graphics
(for hardware accelerated video). Since this is a netbook, I am
willing to do the switching manually to save cost.

While the Broadcom chip is nice, I seem to have read somewhere
(can’t recall right now) that the Broadcom ship does not support
all high def formats, so it’s not as good as the Nvidia ION solution.

  4. See! Now this is what I expected from computer makers when Intel Atom N450 processors were put out last December. We should have already had this for month and be ramping up for a tweak of this unit in a month or two.
