The Fujitsu MH380 is a 10 inch netbook with a distinctive design. The touchpad is unusually small, but Fujitsu has added a scroll wheel to the right of the touchpad that a company rep swore to me was actually useful when  I asked him about it at CES in January. The notebook also has a high definition, 1366 x 768 pixel display and a relatively high price tag of about $450. The folks at Laptop Magazine took the netbook for a spin to see if it’s worth the price.

The verdict? Eh, it’s better than previous Fujitsu netbooks in a lot of respects, but it’s still pretty pricey for a 10 inch netbook with an Intel Atom processor. Still, there aren’t a lot of netbooks in this price range with HD displays.

The MH380 has a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 CPU, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, Windows 7 Starter Edition, 1GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard drive. It gets 6 hours and 47 minutes of run time from the 6 cell battery, which is a far cry from the 2:46 run time Laptop Mag notched with the Fujitsu M2010 last summer.

Laptop also likes the new keyboard on the Fujtisu MH380, which the magazine describes as “one of the best netbook keyboards yet.” The miniscule touchpad, on the other hand, is described as just “usable.”
