US retailer Newegg now has the Samsung NB30 in stock for $369.99 plus $4.99 for shipping. The NB30 is Samsung’s new semi-rugged model. It has a spill-resistant keyboard and a fingerprint-resistant lid that’s tough enough to protect the laptop from minor scratches and scuffs.
The Samsung NB30 also has a hard drive protection system that shuts down the hard disk in the event of a fall to help prevent data loss.
The rest of the specs are pretty much on par with all the new Intel Atom powered netbooks launched over the last month. The NB30 has a 10.1 inch. 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, and integrated GMA 3150 graphics. It ships with Windows 7 Starter Edition and has a 6 cell, 4400mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, and 802.11b/g/n WiFi.

In France, it is said to have a touchscreen [1]. Is it a different model in the US?

This is the first time I’ve seen any mention of a touchscreen. I’ll check
with my contact at Samsung, but I don’t think this option will be available
in the US.
