mdeion-akoyaa-asNorth American residents don’t hear much about Medion, but they’re extremely popular in Europe. Today, the Medion web store debuted the Akoya Mini E1217.

While it’s certainly a sharp looking netbook, the internals are pretty standard fare. The E1217 sports a 10.1″ screen, Atom N270 processor, 1GB DDR2 memory, and a 160GB SATA hard drive. On the plus side, it does have an 802.11 N-capable wifi adater, Bluetooth, and it ships with Windows 7 Starter.

It’s priced at 329€, or about $495US – which seems a little on the steep side to me.
