mdg-flip-sadfsadIntel’s Classmate PC has just landed in Canada, appearing on the Sears.ca website as the MDG Flip. It’s priced at $599.99 CDN and sports the same specs we’ve seen on other re-branded Classmate units.

The Flip runs an Atom N270 CPU and includes 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 60GB SATA hard drive, 802.11 b/g/n wireless, Bluetooth, and a 4-cell battery.

It sports the trademark Classmate ruggedized/rubberized design and could be an attractive buy for students. Despite the middling specs, the added durability and tablet features definitely make the Flip and interesting option for Canucks (like myself).

So far, all the reviews are very positive. My own experiences with MDG have been less-than-memorable, but the Flip isn’t really their system – so it could be much better than the systems I’ve seen in the past.
