fujitsu loox c

Fujitsu is the latest company to throw its hat in the 11.6 inch Intel CULV-powered laptop ring. The company’s FMV LOOX C notebooks are due out in Japan on October 22nd. Two models will be available, although both will have an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, a 320G hard drive, Windos 7 Home Premiu, and GMA 4500MHD graphics.

The FMV LOOX C/E50 will feature a 1.2GHz Intel celeron SU2300 processor and a 6.2 hour battery and run about $900.

The FMV LOOX C/E70 will go for about $1100 and feature a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor and a 9.2 hour battery.

Both models will have 3 USB ports, 802.11n WiFi, Ethernet, VGA outputs, and mic/headphone jacks. They’ll come in red, black, and blue and weigh about 3.5 pounds.

Keep in mind that if and when these models are released in the US, they’ll probably be at least $100 to $200 cheaper. But they’re still pretty expensive for mini-laptops with Intel CULV processors.

The company is also preparing to launch the Windows 7 version of the Fujitsu LOOX M netbook. It will feature a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1Gb of RAM, and a 1.66GHz Intel Atom processor. The hard drive has been bumped up from 160GB to 250GB and the LOOX M will ship with Windows 7 Starter Edition.
