Remember that next generation AMD platform for ultrathin notebooks I was telling you about yesterday? It looks like Acer’s already showing off one of the first laptops to use the new chip. The Acer Ferrari One packs a dual core 1.2GHz AMD Athlon X2 L310 processor and ATI Radeon 3200 graphics.
The laptop can handle 1080p video and other hardware video acceleration tasks. The laptop has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and optional HSDPA. It packs a 6 cell, 5600mAh battery and runs Windows 7. It should be available in Europe for about 499 Euros on October 22nd. That’s about $727 US.
Oh yeah, and the laptop features a shiny red Ferrari themed lid. The keyboard looks virtually identical to the one on the Acer Aspire 1410, although the touchpad area has some decorative changes including a single mouse button with the word Ferrari emblazoned across it.

There are many that will swear by their Acer laptop computers and this is amply evident when you come across a great many advertisements expounding on the virtues of such laptops. However, it is not such a good idea to go by advertising claims alone and it is also necessary to first check out different manufacturers and sees what’s on offer before making a considered decision. It should give you peace of mind that Acer is a worldwide company and it is known for providing practical and first-rate solutions for the marketplace. For this reason it will be worthwhile to consider an Acer Timeline.
Hey quite an informative article. I really like the specifications. I bought an Acer Timeline 4810T a month ago and its really doing well. The Acer is celebrating 10 years in India on 9-Sep-09.
