Toshiba is adding WiMAX capabilities to a handful of its notebooks, including the Toshiba Dynabook UX, which is the Japanese version of the Toshiba Mini NB200 which is available in the US and Europe.

Like its Western counterparts, the Dynabook UX has a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and runs Windows XP Home. In addition to WiMAX, the computer sports 802.11b/g WiFi and Bluetooth wireless modules.

I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for WiMAX support on the NB200, since the wireless standard isn’t very widespread in the countries where the netbook is sold under this name yet. But strange things have happened.
