lg x120 levisWhile some folks are working on netbooks that can fold up and fit in your pocket, the LG X120 Levi’s Edition isn’t one of them. Rather, this computer is basically a standard LG X120 netbook with two things that set it apart from the crowd:

  1. It features Levi’s branding and a drawing of a pair of jeans on the lid.
  2. It comes with a denim slip cover that is either made of recycled jeans, or made to look like it’s made from recycled jeans.

I like the slip cover idea, and kind of hope that Levi’s, LG, or someone else decides to sell similar cases as a standalone product. It would be especially cool if it actually is made of sturdy, but recycled blue-jeans material (assuming someone has taken the time to wash said jeans, eliminating any odors from previous occupants).

But as for the netbook itself? The only reason I’d carry around a netbook with an ad for a clothing company emblazoned across the top is if that clothing company subsidized the cost of the netbook. And while I haven’t seen any word on pricing, somehow I doubt that the Levi’s Edition is selling for less than the standard LG X120.

  1. It would be really cool if the recycled jean material were bonded to the case. It would have to have a relaxing effect on the user and be a statement against this suit-filled world, all at the same time 🙂

    1. P.S. Hahaha.. the Korean girl providing the vocal for the video has a rather limited English vocabulary, but she uses it well 🙂
