The Asus Eee PC 1101HA isn’t ready to ship in the US just yet. But the folks at Electric Pig aren’t in the US, and they’ve managed to get their hands on the first Eee PC with an 11.6 inch display. And they’ve got the unboxing photos to prove it.
The netbook looks remarkably similar to the Eee PC 1005HA. But while the 1005HA has a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel screen, the 1101HA has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel screen.I haven’t seen the specs yet, but I’m guessing this model could be a tiny bit wider and possibly heavier than the model with a 10 inch screen. But that may be a small price to pay for the extra screen real estate.
The Eee PC 1101HA should be available in the US by the end of July.
Z-series Atom that maxes out at 1GB RAM = FAIL
1.33GHz Atom = FAIL
Old bad keyboard layout = FAIL
Too bad. The HA designation and Seashell would get you thinking this is the same as the 1005HA and 1008HA that both have NONE of the above issues. Not sure what they’re thinking, but this is DOA.
For some reason they reverted to the old keyboard with the screwy shift key location. Dealbreaker!
Any idea how much it will sell for in the US?
