Asus is preparing to launch its three newest mini-laptops in Australia in just over a month. PC Authority reports that the Eee PC T91 convertible touchscreen tablet will be available for about $999 Australian ($780 US), while the Eee PC 1008HA “Seashell” thin and light netbook will go for about $899 Australian ($702 US).

The Eee PC 1005HA will be the bargain of the bunch, with prices between $599 and $799 Australian ($468 US to $624 US) depending on the configuration.

I should probably point out that computers generally cost a lot more in Australia than in the US, Europe, or other parts of the world. So those prices should only look scary if you actually live in Australia. You’ll likely be able to pick these computers up for far less money in the US when they become available here.

  1. Brad, please stop teasing us poor Aussies about the high prices we are charged for our gadgets. It’s not our fault, OK.
