Asus has posted the user manual for the upcoming Eee PC 1005HA to the company’s FTP site. In fact, there are several manuals, describing the Eee PC 1005HA, 1005HAB, and at least one model running Linux instead of Windows XP.
There aren’t a ton of surprises, but the manual does confirm that the Eee PC 1005HA has a removable battery, unlike the Eee PC 1008HA. The netbook also has a touchpad that supports multitouch gestures, and a RAM access panel on the bottom of the computer to allow for easy memory upgrades.
The computer includes the same software found on most Windows XP netbooks from Asus, including the Super Hybrid Engine, which allows users to adjust the clock speed of the netbook’s Intel Atom processor.
There’s also a new “Eee Docking” utility that includes links to the Eee Sharing utility for synchronizing data across multiple computer, Eee Xperience, for adjusting audio and video settings on the netbook, and Eee Tools for adjusting system updates, fonts, parental controls, and enabling Easy Mode (which looks like the interface Asus uses on Linux netbooks) on some models. Some models will also have access to a new feature called Eee @Vibe which provides access to online TV, radio, games, and software and multimedia downloads.
thanks verbage!

The Asus Eee PC 1005HA and 1008HA was launched today in the Philippines with starting price of $478.
Nice to see ASUS so effective at reducing the number of their models on the market. 😉
What has it been? Nearly three weeks since the last model introduction?
Barring a need for a touchscreen, this looks like the one to buy.
