Active Media has released 2 new solid state disks designed for the Dell Inspiron Mini 9. The new MLC NAND flash disks come in 16GB and 32GB versions. They’re designed to fit into the PCIe slot in a Dell Inspiron Mini 9, and they offer faster read/write speeds than the Inspiron Mini’s default SSD (or older Active Media SSDs, for that matter).
Active Media says the modules can handle sequential read speeds of up to 82MB/sec and sequential write speeds of up to 38MB/sec. The modules measure just 2″ x 1.2″ and should be able to hold data for up to 10 years.
The 16GB version should set you back about $66, while the 32GB version will run around $120.

This is fantastic news. Now if there were a video showing me how to do it…
There are vids on jkkmobile as well as youtube.
Sweet, I guess I should start looking.
Thanks Adam.
I need to see benchmarks of this thing asap! They’re claiming faster & cheaper than Runcores.
