Sure, the Acer Aspire One line of netbooks come in several attractive colors including black, white, brown, and blue. But that’s jsut not good enough for some people. What people, you ask? How about the folks in cute-obsessed Japan. Of course, there’s cute, and then there’s… absolutely hideous.

I’m pretty sure bedazzling a netbook’s lid doesn’t affect performance, but it’s hard to get any work done when your eyes are bleeding.

Apparently the netbooks you see above are part of some mini-laptop decoration event/contest. You can check out some more photos of pimped out Aspire One netbooks over at Akihabara News and PC Watch. Akihabara News was also cruel kind enough to post a video of the event, which you can find after the break.
