The folks at FidoHub include some pretty detailed installation instructions with their netbook touchscreen kits. But if you’re a visual learner, there’s something for you too. FidoHub has put together a three part video series with step by step instructions for installing a touchscreen on an Asus Eee PC 1000HE netbook.

The FidoHub touch panel kits typically run between $60 and $90 depending on your netbook model. And one of the nice things is that they’re designed for easy installation, no soldering iron required. But you will need to dissect your mini-laptop and remove the screen, which is a warranty-voiding procedure. So you’ll only want to undertake this minor surgery if you’re cool with that.

You can purchase a numebr of FidoHub touchscreen products from the company’s eBay store. And you can check out the 1000HE video tutorials after the break. Total run time is about 16 minutes.

  1. For those that have bought these for their netbooks: Are they worth the cost and warranty?
