Asus will begin shipping the Asus Eee PC 1002HA and Eee PC S101H in Japan this weekend. The Eee PC 1002HA is already available in the US for around $430, but the company currently has no plans to release the Eee PC S101H in the US.

The Eee PC S101H is virtually identical to the Eee PC S101, except it has a hard drive instead of a solid state disk, and it appears to be a few milimeters thicker. According to Portable Monkey, the S101H will cost about 64,800 yen, or about $728. While that might sound like a lot of money, it’s about $50 cheaper than the price Asus charged for the Eee PC S101 when it launched in Japan.

  1. Being $50 bucks cheaper than the overpriced predecessor doesn’t make it sound like less. Especially when you consider that since then the currencies have flipped and the yen is worth more than the dollar.

    1. I know! I’ve been struggling to cache some web pages so I could get
the site to stay up for more than a few seconds. I’d rather not have
to upgrade the server for the third time in three months if I can
      avoid it. 🙂

    2. this is like when you look into a mirror looking into a mirror….
click the link to see the link that will bring you back here…

im afraid if i click on the link, the site will get caught in some quantum loop and blow up.

maybe its the M-39 ive been smoking.
