asus-logoAsus introduced a whole slew of new machines at CES including the Eee PC T91 convertible tablet and the Eee PC 1004DN with a new Intel Atom N280 CPU and an optional DVD drive.  But it looks likely that the company won’t bring any of these new products to market for a few months.

Taipei Times reports that due to a variety of issues Asus had to lower its profit forecasts recently. And as a result, Asus wants to bring its inventory under control before shipping new netbooks, notebooks, or other products. As previously reported, the company also plans to consolidate some of its product lines.

  1. So they still have 2 to 3 months of Eee PC inventory on hand that they want to get rid of before they introduce new models. Maybe in a few weeks then, we’ll see some lower Eee prices and have a good opportunity to pick up a spare 1000H or the like.

  2. Well, this could be a good opportunity for Asus to rethink some models. There are plenty out there already and customers are getting confused.
