It looks like the Gateway mini-laptop which we first spotted last month is available in the US after all. An Engadget reader snapped a few photos of the little guy hanging out at an Office Depot, where it’s selling for about $380. I can’t find any mention of the Gateway LT1004U or any other gateway netbook on the Office Depot web site, so it looks like this is an in-store only offer for now.
Gateway is owned by Acer, and this notebook is essentially an Acer Aspire One with the gateway name slapped on it and a bit of a case redesign. It has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, a 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, and an 8.9 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display. The netbook weighs 2.2 pounds, has 3 USB ports, and a 5-in-1 card reader, and supports 802.11b/g WiFi.
