A few days ago the folks behind Good OS announced gOS Cloud, a Linux based operating system with two distinctive features:
- It boots into a usable environment in just over 5 seconds.
- Instead of loading a full desktop, gOS Cloud loads a web browser and a program dock.
Sascha from Eee PC News got to spend some time with a netbook running a pre-release version of gOS Cloud, and he seems pretty impressed. The operating system boots quickly, and shuts down even more quickly. The computer can dual boot, which means you can choose whether you want to load gOS Cloud for some light web browsing, or Windows XP for some heavier duty computing. You can find out more by checking out the video after the break.
In answer to my own question: Yes, gOS Cloud can dual boot with other OSes, namely Windows and Linux.

I like. I like.
But can it dual it dual boot with OSes other than Windoze? Even if it were gOS I would be happy (as you may have already noticed, I’m not a Window fan).
if there was even the openoffice writer, it would be the best …
