You’ve seen the hands-on photos. Now you can check out the pictures Asus wants you to see of its top of the line Eee PC model, the S101. The Asus Eee PC S101 is a bit thinner and lighter than many of its cousins. It also has a sleek, professional looking design. It also comes with up to 64GB of solid state storage (althugh 16GB and 32GB versions will also be available), which helps explain why the Eee PC S101 is one of the most expensive netbooks in the Eee PC lineup. The S101 will run from $699 to $799.

As expected, the Eee PC S101 is available in brown and graphite shades. And overall it looks a lot less like a toy than the Eee PC 701, 900, 901, or 1000. There are still a few quirks though. For example, the right shift key is still tiny and is still awkardly placed to the right of the up arrow.

You can find more pictures of the Eee PC S101 at Notebook Italia or read more about the netbook in the Liliputing Product Database.

  1. Well well well… The Italian website has the basic model at €599.

Cons: only 0.3 Mp webcam on the supposed luxury model when cheaper ones have 1.3 Mp. Why oh why?
keyboard could still be better… the odd gap bottom left just bugs me

Pro, and its a big pro, just 1kg of weight for a 10.2″ screen model .Great if it REALLY gives 5 hours of autonomy

However, it’s still a lot for an atom-based, small drive machine. Make it €499 and I might go for it!
