You know how it’s hard to find a store that has the MSI Wind laptop in stock? That might have something to do with the fact that MSI is pumping out units for a dozen or more companies around the world. So while (if you’re lucky) you can find the MSI Wind U100 in the US, Europe, or parts of Asia, you can also find the Advent 4211 in the UK or the Medion Akoya Mini in various European countries. And they’re all practically the same machine.
With Intel Atom processors in short supply and MSI trying to supply the entire world with tiny laptops, it’s not surprising that the company has a hard time keeping units on the shelves.
Cloudbook UMPC has put together a nice list of MSI Wind-based systems available around the world. Some have already been covered on Liliputing. For example, there’s the Mivvy M310 for the Czech Republic and the Mouse LuvBook U100. Some are new to me, including the Portuguese Tsunami Moover T10.
JoanMa wrote in this morning to let me know about yet another Wind clone that’s not on the list. The Portátil Beep Iridium U10 N270 with a 3 cell battery is now available in Spain for 399 Euroes or just under $600 US.
