Fukato has decided to give its newest Datacask netbook a bit more juice than prior offerings. The first Fukato Datacask netbook was announced earlier this year, and the company promised a mini-notebook with an 8 inch, 800 x 480 pixel display and use a 500MHz AMD Geode LX CPU. Now the company has upgraded the specs to include a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display and a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU.

In other words, the upcoming Fukato Datacask Jupiter 1014A will ship this month with what we can now safely say are industry standard component. The laptop will sport a 160GB hard drive, which is one of the larger hard drive I’ve seen in a netbook. But by no means is it the highest capacity hard drive available.

The computer will be available in Linux and Windows flavors. The Linux version will use a custom distribution based on Knoppix and will cost about 369 Euros or $525 US. The Windows version will be available in October for an extra 30 Euros.
